Reference video
Starting position
Standing on the right leg, the left leg bent and off the floor, rope behind.
Correct technique
Every jump is performed on the right leg only. The rope passes under the foot exactly twice per jump.
Required range of motion
The rope completes two full turns during a single jump, landing on the same foot.
What counts
A repetition counts when the rope makes exactly two full turns in one jump and the athlete lands on the right foot.
What does not count
Not counted: single jumps, the left foot touching the floor, switching the supporting leg, a tangled rope, and jumps after the end signal.
Filming requirements
The athlete stays fully visible from head to feet for the whole attempt. One continuous take, no cuts or editing. The camera does not move. A timer must be visible in frame, or the start and end signals audible. Both feet must be clearly visible.
Common mistakes
Single jumps mixed in
Ordinary single jumps between double-unders are not counted.
Switching the supporting leg
Continuing on the other leg means those jumps are not counted.
